Chalkie Stobbart, from Johannesburg, South Africa, achieved to break one of aviation’s longstanding records - Alex Henshaw’s round trip solo flight in 1939 between Cape Town and London in a single-engine aircraft in 4 days, 10 hours, 15 minutes. Chalkie flew a GP 4 homebuilt in the record time of 3 days, 15 hours, 17 minutes.
